Professor Garry Allison, Associate Deputy Vice-Chancellor Research Excellence at Curtin, pointed out that this program was designed to provide crypto investors with a new opportunity to “foster a new generation of PhD graduates” who will help this field evolve in a more uniform and sustainable manner. He added that:

“By establishing the Cryptocurrency PhD Scholarship Fund, Curtin will provide the opportunity for entrepreneurs who have realised significant benefits from cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin and Ethereum to give something back to these communities.”

The newly created fund will allow wealthy investors in the crypto industry to donate and help facilitate the faster adoption of virtual currencies and blockchain technology all over the globe. Notably, the donors can also pinpoint to donate on the field they are specifically interested in.
